Team News

Watford duo Peter Etobo and Kwadwo Baah are both on the road to recovery after appearing in a couple of U23 games so there’s little chance they could be involved at the weekend.

However, Cameroonian defender Nicoals Nkoulou is still some way from returning to the squad.

Mikel Arteta only has Takehiro Tomiyasu to worry about as the Japan international has not featured in six of Arsenal’s last eight games.

Speaking of Tomiyasu’s absence after the Wolves encounter, the Gunners boss said: “So he came back and he was completely fine and in training he felt the other calf.

“So that’s a problem because he’s a professional who’s going absolutely everything to help us and hasn’t been fit for the past few months.

“Think of the body as a series of links with one weakened and the other taking up the slack, right?”

Emile Smith Rowe also missed out on the thrilling 2-1 win at the Emirates after contracting Covid-19, but the Englishman is expected to return.
