TRIBUTE has gone in for a mother and her three-month-old baby who were killed in a Russian missile attack on Odessa.
Valeria Hlodan and her daughter Kira were among eight people who died in Saturday’s barbaric attack, which injured 18 others.
Her husband Yuriy performed tributes by posting a photo of his late wife and daughter.
The distraught dad wrote: “My dears, Heaven! You are in our hearts!”.
The picture was shared on the official Twitter account of the Ukrainian Parliament.
“An adorable young mother and her three-month-old child,” the tweet reads.
“Russia took their lives today when a Russian missile hit an apartment building in Odessa… RIP, our angels.”
Politico reporter Christopher Miller shared a photo from Valeria’s Instagram page announcing Kira’s birth.
The picture shows a happy Valeria holding her pregnant belly and was captioned: “It’s been the best 40 weeks. Our girl is now one month old. Dad gave her her first flowers. It’s a new level of happiness.”
A military compound and two residential buildings were hit by Russian missiles in the southern port city, Presidential Chief of Staff Andriy Permak said in an online post.
It comes like Ukrainesaid the military general staff PutinUkraine’s troops continued their “offensive operations” in eastern Ukraine with the aim of building a land corridor between Donbass and Crimea.
Ukrainian forces repelled eight in the past 24 hours Russian Attacks in two regions, destruction of nine tanks, 18 armored units and 13 vehicles, one tanker and three artillery systems, the General Staff said in a Facebook post this morning.
Harrowing footage of the attack shows a 3M-54 caliber cruise missile en route to Odessa.

Hundreds of Ukrainian military installations have been attacked and cities like Kharkiv are under 24-hour Russian missile and artillery attacks.
Russian troops are also said to be active in the nearby city of Izyum.
And the Kyiv Post reports that four Russian submarines with Caliber cruise missiles have left port and submerged in the Black Sea.
Serhiy Bratiuk, a spokesman for the Odessa Regional Defense Administration, said the warships were seen leaving home base in Crimea and are believed to be heading for Odessa.
He said the chances of renewed strikes in the coming days and perhaps at Orthodox Christian Easter were high.
