Toys for Bob confirms work on new game believed to be Wumpa League

Toys for Bob have confirmed that they are working on a new game and many assume it is the much rumored one wumpa league Game said to be in the form of a 4v4 crash bash. While the fighting game Crash Bandicoot seems the most likely, others are hoping we’ll finally see Spyro 4 instead.

What is Toys for Bob working on?

The last we heard from Toys for Bob was that they were supposed to help Call of Duty: Vanguard get out the door and create Call of Duty: Warzone content. Hints of a non-Call of Duty project came via job postings back in December, but the developer has now confirmed they’re working on a new game. Nor have they offered any clues as to what it might be.

Previous rumors have suggested that a Crash Bandicoot multiplayer game is in development at Toys for Bob that will be very similar to a 4v4 Crash Bash and is believed to be the Wumpa League game to be played during a summer event should be revealed. The multiplayer game Crash Bandicoot was reportedly being tested internally back in June and featured 10 characters including Crash, Dingodile and Ripper Roo.

Others are hoping for a Spyro revival as it’s been four years since we last saw the purple dragon and his buddies in the Spyro: Reignited trilogy. Right now, the closest players can come to Spyro 4 is a fan-made game called Spyro 4: Blaze of Glory found in Dreams, but a revival would surely be one of the biggest announcements of this year. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long to find out.

Also, Telltale Games’ The Expanse will be on display at Gamescom, where we’ll get our first look at gameplay. Elsewhere, a Spider-Man Remastered PC mod that removed in-game Pride flags has caused controversy.
