The Ohio State team must make some changes before next season begins. One of the biggest changes is hiring a new defense coordinator. While Ryan Day has yet to officially fire anyone on staff, changes are sure to come.
If Day wants this team to be better, something has to change in defence. The defense is the reason why they have lost 2 games this season and have no chance to compete for the Big Ten championship or the national championship. The defense was bad in big points.
The best way to improve defense is with a coach who can adjust quickly. The biggest problem with both Kerry Coombs and Matt Barnes was that they couldn’t adjust during the game. Barnes had a better plan, but he couldn’t adjust to TTUN’s running game and they had to pay a win.
With all that said, a new coordinator needs to be included in the Ohio State football program. There are three candidates that I would love to be included. These are candidates other than I said can take over for the Coombs after the Oregon game.
All three of these guys have proven that they can do what they need to do in defense. They’re good at what they do and they’d be a great fit in a place like Ohio State. If any of these people join the staff, they will immediately improve the team.
The first candidate for the job just had a really good year at another OSU.
