JAKE PAUL may have been ‘cooled down’ by Tommy Fury, according to an associate who has called for the fight to be postponed.
Unbeatable 6ft 7in Heavy Cruiser Andrey Mangushev vs Fury and heavyweight champion Tyson in the summer.
The 2019 Love Island star is ready to face Paul this weekend in Florida.
But then Fury was devastated after he pulled out with a chest infection and broken ribs.
Paul will now rematch Tyron Woodley – whom he beat in August – but Mangushev wants to see the celebrity feud rescheduled.
He told SunSport: “I hope that this fight will happen, I fought Tommy, he is a very strong fighter.
“Tommy is a real fighter, he’s not a performer. This fight could have ended really badly for Jake Paul.
“He’s going to be knocked out by the cold. Tommy is a very dangerous boxer.”
Paul, 24, is gearing up for his third consecutive pay-per-view title fight and fourth fight in 13 months, a period in which he has certainly brought eyeballs to the sport .
Mangushev, 23, said: “Jake is a bold man, he deserves respect. It takes a real man to step into the ring with professional boxers.
“The boxing world should be grateful to him, for drawing so much attention to professional boxing. Boxing is a king sport.”
In Paul’s first three fights, he beat YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’, former NBA star Nate Robinson, 37, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 37.
But his biggest win to date was against Woodley, 39, over eight rounds, with Fury, 22, beating YouTuber partner Anthony Taylor, 32.
It has set up a major fight and will be Paul’s first fight against an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
But after Fury withdrew, it afforded Woodley with a chance at redemption, didn’t finish the job three months ago.
Mangushev predicts: “Woodlley is a seasoned boxer, this time he will most likely change his tactics to be more cautious.
Tommy is a real boxer, he’s not a performer. This fight could have ended really badly for Jake Paul, he would have been knocked down by the cold.

“He’ll be better off defending himself. Even on short notice, I don’t believe we’ll see a knockout in this one.”
As for Fury, he is now set aside until March and face missing out on huge payday and limelight if Paul refuses to never negotiate with him again.
But Mangushev has backed the former reality TV star back and fulfilled his promise.
He said: “Tommy has a great boxing potential, that will certainly be recognized by him. He is part of a great boxing dynasty.
“Tommy is not only strong physically and mentally, he is also very talented and always working to become a better version of himself.
“Tommy is a very good and smart fighter, he has good physicality as well as speed, timing and sense of distance.
“I believe with more games he will accumulate more experience and get better and better.”
