Tom Brady Dolphins rumors labeled ‘fake news’ by Mike McDaniel

It seems Tom Brady isn’t swimming south after all.
The 44-year-old Buccaneers quarterback is not in Miami, according to Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel. who called the recent rumours Linking Brady to the “fake news” team at Monday’s NFL owners’ meetings.
Brady returned to the Buccaneers earlier this month just 40 days after announcing his retirement. In the weeks following the Brady-Bucs official reunion, rumors surfaced that the seven-time Super Bowl champion might be taking his talents to South Beach.

Last week though Jeff Howe of The Athletic seemingly put the kibosh on those rumors by noting that “nothing is happening” between the Dolphins and Brady. Howe also noted that the quarterback was “recruiting free agents for the Bucs.”
As Brady and the Buccaneers reconnect, McDaniel prepares for his first season as Dolphins head coach. The former 49ers offensive coordinator was hired in February to replace Brian Flores, who was fired the month before.
Flores is currently suing the NFL, as well as the Dolphins, Giants and Broncos, accusing them of discriminating against black head coaches and executives. Flores joined the Steelers in February as a senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach.
McDaniel, meanwhile, is likely to work closely with acting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who the Dolphins picked fifth overall in 2020.
