TikTokers prepare their own food at the Waffle House after the chef quits

A TikToker is going viral for taking matters into her own hands after employees at her local waffle house quit in the middle of their shift.
Ah, waffle house; A Southern chain restaurant is celebrated for its all-day breakfast and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year rain or shine.
However, Waffle House isn’t exactly known for its customer service. Instead, it’s one of the best places to head to after a night of drinking – you can always count on this particular chain to be open when you need a cure for a hangover.
The Waffle House is there any time of the day or night… but that’s not necessarily the case for one place.

Waffle House is an iconic restaurant chain based primarily in the southern United States that serves breakfast all day.
TikToker “Ashley Tha MC” recounted her late-night visit to a Waffle House where things didn’t exactly go to plan. She claimed the chef on duty actually quit and “refused to cook our food.”
Her TikTok recording of the outing showed the chef standing outside before moving into the building.
“But shit, the show had to go on, so we made our own,” Ashley said, showing her crew busy in the kitchen preparing her own meals.
“We made all the good food, went back to the hotel and ate it all,” she continued. “The next day my stomach was ripped open! Goodbye.”
Thankfully, Ashley claimed she didn’t have to pay to have her own meal prepared — instead, she said it was “on the house.”

The hilarious video has garnered over 116,000 views at the time of writing, with tons of commenters sharing their own humorous experiences at Waffle Houses.
“I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to prepare my customers’ food as a waiter,” wrote one user.
“Cooking your own food at the Waffle House is part of the experience!” another joked.
“The fact that this happens more often than you think,” admitted another commenter.
Sometimes you just gotta roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done… but at least the kerfuffle made for a good story.
