TikToker goes viral after revealing horrifying Vrbo rental robbery

TikToker @callie.bryant has claimed that she was robbed after renting a house for a bachelorette party in Austin, Texas.

TikToker Callie Bryant went viral after sharing a video showing her friends “emergency evacuation” of a bachelorette house party she booked on Vrbo, an online home rental marketplace.

Bryant said her group decided to evacuate to a hotel in the middle of the night after realizing the doors to her room wouldn’t lock and the room’s alarm system wasn’t working.

The now-viral TikToker said the landlord didn’t respond when Bryant’s group reached out and that the Vrbo listing had disappeared from the site.

TikToker goes viral for bachelorette house party evacuation

On Saturday, March 2, 2022, Bryant uploaded a clip of the chilling moment and captioned the video: “We realized we were being prepared to be robbed and/or worse.”

In a four-part Storytime saga, Bryant revealed that she and a friend booked the room for a bachelorette party. At the time of booking, the property had around 20 reviews, none of which were showing red flags, Bryant noted.

“You have to listen to your intuition,” Bryant said. “Do what you have to do because it’s not worth risking your safety.”

Bryant’s allegations have prompted viewers to respond with different perspectives.

“The police literally came to us in the middle of the night looking for the owner… They told us it wasn’t safe to be there lol,” wrote one user.

“My husband is a cop and this happened to a group of girls in LA. Got robbed and her car was stolen. I’m glad you guys left before anything happened!” said another TikToker.

“Every day I learn a new reason I should be scared every time I leave my house,” said another commenter.

Bryant’s horrific experience comes just weeks after another TikToker revealed her ex-boyfriend stole over $13,000 in cash.
