Thousands of Ukrainians have STILL failed to make it to the UK despite having a home waiting for them

YET, only a handful of Ukrainians awaiting homes have managed to make it to the UK, weak new statistics show.
Despite 55,600 Refugees meet generous hostsonly 3,200 arrived – a weak 5.8 percent.
And 30,500 of them on the run Putin’s bloodbath for the UK through the flagship program Homes for Ukraine stuck waiting for visas.
Combined with the family route for Ukrainians with existing relatives here, a total of 16,400 out of 94,700 hopefuls have arrived on British soil so far.
Ministers insist they are revitalizing the ailing system and are now processing 3,500 visas every day.
A team of 500 officers working seven days a week was tasked with completing the paperwork in 48 hours.

Refugee Secretary Lord Harrington, hired to bang heads and speed up the process, promised the system would improve.
He said: “We are not complacent, we have already made and will make a number of changes to further simplify the visa process.”
Officials believe part of the reason for the low arrival numbers is that Ukrainians apply for UK visas as a safety net but never come.
Many instead choose to go to other countries or stay close to the Ukrainian border so they can easily return home when it’s safe.
A Government spokesman said: “We know from local partners that people have applied for visas to enable them to travel to the UK but are currently in bordering countries so they can easily return to Ukraine.
“Others may have applied to a UK program but then decided to stay where they are or travel elsewhere.”
