Chris Hemsworth has revealed his son and daughter are starring in a new movie Thor: Love and Thunder.
However, the Aussie actor hopes they won’t get too carried away with the taste of acting, explaining, “I don’t want them to be child stars.”
Director Taika Waititi’s new film is the next Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film to be released thereafter Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Hemsworth will return as a popular character alongside Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, the stars of Guardians of the Galaxy and Christian Bale, who serves as the villain.
Ahead of the film’s release, Hemsworth confirmed to the entertainment reporter Kevin McCarthy that his 10-year-old daughter India Rose and one of his eight-year-old twin sons will appear in the film.
India Rose plays the small role of love, while Tristan is seen as the young version of Thor at the beginning of the film’s trailer.
Hemsworth said they “really wanted to be there,” as did the Waititi, Bale and Portman children.
Describing it as “a special experience we had,” he said, “They loved it. They had a great time.”
But if the actor has his way, that will be the scope of their acting career — at least until they get older.
Hemsworth recently shared the only condition he had to sign on for the new film after believing the previous film Thor: Ragnarok (2017) would be his last time playing the character.
Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8th.
