Thieves steal over $8,000 worth of diesel fuel from the Chevron service station on Root Road in the spring

SPRING, Texas (KTRK) — Lawmakers need the public’s help to identify thieves who stole thousands of dollars worth of diesel fuel from a gas station in Spring.

Harris County Precinct 4 police officers responded Monday in response to a theft call to the Chevron gas station at 6114 Root Road in the North Hampton Subdivision.

Investigators said surveillance video showed the suspects unlocking a gas pump and stealing 1,754 gallons of diesel fuel for a total of $8,331.50.

The suspects were operating multiple vehicles, including a white 1990 Ford Super Duty dropside pickup with an extended cab and five center overhead clearance lights, with the center one not working, lawmakers said.
