The Yankees’ Joely Rodriguez regains speed in the final game

Here are some notable nuggets that happened during Thursday’s Yankees spring training action:
Small threat
Miguel Andujar was something of a forgotten man this spring, but he had half of the Yankees’ four hits against the Phillies, including a double to the gap. The third baseman/left fielder appears to have a ticket to Triple-A unless traded at the end of camp.
crowned king
After giving up two home runs against the Blue Jays last Saturday, Michael King was hit deep by Bryce Harper for a two-run shot. Still, Aaron Boone said the multi-inning reliever was “a lot snappier.” [with] better command”, this time.
I noticed
Joely Rodriguez made his first game appearance since last Thursday when his speed dropped noticeably. After treating a pinched nerve in his neck, Rodriguez was back to 92-93 mph this Thursday in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.
Friday schedule
Gerrit Cole is scheduled to make his final Grapefruit League start in Lakeland, Fla. at 1:05 p.m. against the Tigers, but questionable weather threatens to thwart those plans.
