Microsoft has announced 12 new games for Xbox Game Pass yesterday, but one thing they didn’t mention was that Solasta: Magister’s Crown was introduced to the service on the first day. While the game has been available on PC since April 2021, it was released on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on July 5th.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister joins Xbox Game Pass
Solasta: Crown of the Magister was a surprise addition to Xbox Game Pass yesterday after being missed from Microsoft’s official list. Inspired by turn-based tabletop RPGs, the game sends groups of players into the dungeons of Solasta as they search for treasure, learn the truth about an ancient catastrophe and try to prevent a repeat of it. Players can tackle the dungeons alone or in online co-op with three other players, and cross-play is enabled between consoles and PC. The game has been added to the service alongside Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 for consoles, PC, and cloud. There was also Last Call BBS for PC. Matchpoint: Tennis Championships, DJMax Respect V, and Road 96 are all coming to Game Pass tomorrow, July 7th.
Another surprise release is coming to Xbox Game Pass on July 12 in the form of Garden Story. This pixelated action role-playing game features a world full of fruits and vegetables. As the grove’s newest guardian, players are tasked with rebuilding the village and uncovering the mysteries of its hidden past. Five more games will be added to Game Pass on July 14: Escape Academy, Power Wash Simulator, Overwhelm, My Friend Peppa Pig, and PAW Patrol The Movie: Adventure City Calls.
In other news, the Nintendo Switch OLED Splatoon 3 Edition has shattered all rumors of a Switch Pro or Switch 2 any time soon. Elsewhere, The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play AAA shooter that’s coming to Android and iOS soon.
