The Witcher Season 2 clip shows Ciri training as a warrior

With less than a week to come The Witcher In the highly-anticipated premiere of season 2, Netflix has released a clip that provides more details on what to expect from the show’s second run.

In the newly released clip, Princess Ciri – do Freya Allan – was seen at Kaer Morhen, a former holding house where the Witches of the School of Werewolves trained. Footage shows Ciri practicing as she confronts a giant pendulum. The princess was knocked to the ground several times but with unyielding effort, she was able to defeat her swinging foe.

Initial reviews for the upcoming season are available and so far, the season has been positively and critically rated. The second season of The Witcher will choose where the first season ended; the first season finale saw Geralt of Rivia, do Henry Cavill, finally bringing Ciri under his protection after their season-long journey together.

The recently released clip also introduces Allan’s character as more than just a damsel in distress in the new installment, giving the character more depth and power. Ciri won’t be the only character getting more additions in the upcoming season, with Cavill’s Geralt also tipped to gain more depth and layers as more of his past characters join the show.

Many aspects of the second season have been identified as bright spots for the series, and this specifically includes the cast. The second season of The Witcher have a favorite cast Anya Chalotra, and Joey Batey back with Cavill and Allan. Also, new faces like as Kim Bodnia, Mecia Simson, Paul Bullion, Adjoa Andoh, Yasen Atour, and Basil Eidenberg, among others, have also been included.


The upcoming season is scheduled to be released on December 17, 2021 and will consist of eight episodes. The Witcher was also renewed for a third season prior to the premiere of the second season. Watch the newly released clip below:
