The Times finally admits Hunter Biden’s laptop is real

Forgive the obscenity, but you’ve got to pressure us.

First, the New York Times decides more than a year later that Hunter Biden’s business woes are worth a story. Then, deep in the piece, in passing, write it down that Hunter’s laptop is legitimate.

“People familiar with the investigation said prosecutors examined emails between Mr. Biden, Mr. Archer and others about Burisma and other foreign business activities,” writes The Times. “These emails were obtained by The New York Times from a cache of files that appears to have come from a laptop left by Mr. Biden at a Delaware repair shop. The email and others in the cache have been authenticated by people familiar with them and the investigation.”

Authenticated!!! you don’t say it They mean that when a newspaper actually reports on an issue and doesn’t just try to whitewash its coverage of Joe Biden, they discover that it is actually true?

But wait, it doesn’t end there. In October 2020, The Times doubt there was a meeting between Joe BIden and a Burisma official, the Ukrainian gas company where Hunter was a board member. “A Biden campaign spokesman said Mr. Biden’s official timetables showed no meeting between the two men,” wrote The Times, acting as perfect stenographer.

But in the latest report, published Wednesday night, the Times said the meeting was likely did happen. Biden had attended the dinner in question. Funny how that works when you’re not just taking someone’s word for it.

In the heat of the 2020 presidential campaign, The Times never missed an opportunity to cast doubt on the laptop, saying the information was “alleged” and citing a letter from former Democratic officials who – with no evidence – claimed it was Russian disinformation. As late as September 2021, The Times described the laptop as “unfounded” in a message.

Why was it unfounded? Because of willful ignorance and The Times strange lack of curiosity. Hunter’s business partner, Tony Bobulinski, contacted the Post immediately after the reports and confirmed that the emails in his name were legitimate. The Bidens haven’t even denied it’s true! They simply dodged, with the help of the media, saying it was a dirty trick or not a story. Most of the time, the press just ignored it.

Now we are 16 months from the 2020 election, Joe Biden is safe in the White House and The Times finally decides to cover the news rather than carry the water of the Biden campaign. And they note that Hunter Biden’s business interests benefited suspiciously from Joe Biden’s political status. Perhaps this is a topic worth exploring.

How did The Times “authenticate” the laptop? It doesn’t say. Unlike The Post’s reporting, which details exactly how we obtained the files and where they came from, The Times waves to anonymous sources. No facts have changed since autumn 2020. You knew the laptop was real from the start. They just didn’t want to say it.

With these 180s, there’s never a shame. Sorry we wrote a “fact check” that turned out to be bullshit! Sorry we wrote an article claiming something wasn’t a story and you were stupid to think that!

Twitter suspended us for allegedly posting “hacked materials” that weren’t hacked. The company’s CEO apologized, but by this point they had achieved what they wanted. Like The Times, they cast enough doubt not to make their preferred candidate look bad.

Times readers discovered in March 2022 that Hunter Biden was pursuing deals in Europe and Asia, possibly leveraging his father’s position as vice president. Hunter may also not have properly registered with the government or declared all of his income. All legitimate topics of discussion about a presidential candidate’s family, right?

The readers of The Post have known this since October 2020. We also have a much better sports section. We have authenticated it.
