A MYSTERIOUS home that certainly feels like a real safe home to potential owners has hit the market.
The three-storey Hull townhouse boasts a private terrace, open plan living and kitchen and three bedrooms for £300,000.
But it also comes with a hidden safe that remains locked and hasn’t opened for years.
Photos of the property show a heavy metal door inserted into wooden panels in one of the rooms.
There are scratches on the safe – sure it may have been there for a while.
Real estate agent Oscars of Hull said there was a key but so far no one has opened it.
Since the property has been used for residential and commercial purposes, it’s anyone’s guess what the safe might contain.
The representative said: “There is a key, but we believe there is a problem with the lock so we do not know what is inside.”
Elsewhere, the house has two open-plan living rooms – one of which has a fireplace and wood-burning stove.
The other boasts a large bauble-shaped skylight and a mysterious safe.
There is also a tiled terrace and three bedrooms located on one of the three floors.
It comes after a quirky mansion went up for sale for £1.5 million, which is also hide an interesting secret.
This fun-themed home in St Leonard’s-on-Sea, East Sussex, comes complete with its very own bowling alley, as well as flashing neon clowns and shy coconut trees.
