The Sims 5 Reveal is likely coming in October, says insider Jeff Grubb

The Sims 5 will likely be revealed next month, insider Jeff Grubb has claimed. According to Grubb, EA will announce the highly anticipated sequel very soon, possibly as far as October 2022.

Grubb made the comments during a Giant Bomb videocast this week after EA announced The Sims 4 will be free to play. Known for his insider knowledge of the gaming industry, Grubb recently correctly revealed when the Nintendo Direct would take place in September.

Grubb noted that while The Sims 5 is set to be revealed in the near future, it’s not close to release just yet. “Expect to hear about The Sims 5 soon, don’t expect to play it soon, the game is a long way off apparently,” he said during the videocast.

The videocast can be viewed below, with Grubb’s comments on The Sims 5 beginning at around the 29 minute mark:

If Grubb’s comments are to be believed, it’s likely that The Sims 5 will be revealed during the upcoming Behind The Sims Summit, an event taking place on October 18 at 10:00 am PDT/1:00 pm EDT on the official YouTube – and Twitch channel of The Sims channels. This event also includes details on The Sims 4 free-to-play transition. The Sims 5 Reveal is likely coming in October, says insider Jeff Grubb
