The second suspect was arrested in NYC for murdering rapper Avanti Frowner

A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the killing of a Los Angeles-based rapper at a Bronx pharmacy earlier this month – a crime caught in chilling video, police said on Wednesday.

Isiah Garrett, 24 of the Bronx, was charged with murder in the killing of Avanti Frowner, 27, at the Amazing Pharmacy on East Tremont Avenue near Arthur Avenue at 3:45 p.m. on June 9, according to police.

Video from the store shows four men mercilessly attacking Frowner as he appears to be trying to escape before one of the men shoots him at point-blank range. He can be seen grimacing while lying on the pharmacy floor.

“You don’t have to be on the streets anymore — ever!” Avanti’s father, Roger Frowner, 56, told the Post at the time. “If they kill someone in a shop in broad daylight, they are insidious.”

It wasn’t immediately clear what role Garrett played in the murder.

Another man, River Jones, 18, was previously arrested and also charged with murder. Jones is from New Rochelle.
