The police ID duo after the Garner police chase ends when the car crashes into the house

GARNER, NC (WNCN) – Garner Police Tuesday identified a woman and man who were arrested after a chase Monday night ended in a crash into a home.

The incident began at 7:24 p.m. when Garner Police tried to stop a car for a traffic violation along Benson Road off Lakeside Drive, according to Garner Police spokesman Lt. Kevin Anderson.

The man driving the car then sped away. A brief chase ensued and the driver drove through the front yard of a house and crashed into the front of a brick house, Anderson said.

There was minor structural damage to the home. The car was also damaged.

Na’gem Jakeith Savage, 19, of Greenville, and Jessica Lauren Brigman, 28, of Garner, were arrested after a brief chase, Anderson said.

Savage was charged with felony, fleeing/absconding arrest and alteration, destruction or theft of criminal evidence, trespassing on property and driving while his license was suspended. Savage was also served with two outstanding Pitt County warrants for gun violations.

Brigman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.

Both were charged with possession with intent to sell, manufacture or supply a substance that I control.

Savage is being held at the Wake County Detention Center on $100,000 bail. Brigman is being held on a $10,000 secured bond.
