Property Search Rightmove analyzed searches on its website to identify the most searched areas.

It identifies the highest-demand coastal regions as those receiving the highest number of buyer inquiries in 2021.

The most popular area is Bournemouth, where the average price has risen to £317,449. The next most searched is Southampton, followed by Brighton, Blackpool and Poole.

The study also tracked which coastal regions saw the greatest increase in search rates.

These growing areas are rapidly rising in the rankings as more and more people consider moving here.

Searches in Lancashire grew 32 percent, making it the top rising seaside star. Next is Blackpool, where searches are up 21%.

Three locations tied for third, each with a 15% spike in searches: Great Yarmouth, Swansea, and Saltburn-By-The-Sea in Cleveland.

Not surprisingly, all the additional needs are forcing up coastal prices, which is good news for anyone looking to sell in these areas.

Padstow in Cornwall saw the biggest increase in house prices, with the average rising 20% ​​to £658,588.

Prices in Whitby rose 17 per cent to £254,218, while prices in St Ives rose 15 per cent to £473,161.

The fourth-highest rise in house prices was in Porthcawl, South Glamorgan, where the median has hit £307,051.

Rightmove tracked activity on its website between January 1 and November 24, 2021, and compared it to the same time period in 2020.

But the dramatic price increase as demand for beachfront property booms could make climbing the housing ladder more of a struggle for some.
