Latest NFL Draft Betting News 2022 – First Quarterback Drafted
It was always a one-on-one between Liberty’s Malik Willis and Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett to be the first quarterback off the board, but Willis actually overtook Pitt’s product.
Pickett opened as the consensus favorite to become the first signal caller to be drafted, but concerns about Pickett’s hand size caused Willis to pass him as the favorite. Pickett’s hand measurement was 8 5/8 inches, about an inch smaller than the average NFL quarterback’s hand size.
As the calendar turned to March, Willis transitioned to an almost even favorite, which he combined with strong performances at the NFL Combine and his Liberty Pro Day to eventually become an odds favorite in the market.

Latest NFL Draft Betting News 2022 – First running back drafted
Similar to the quarterback prop market, the race for the first running back draft was always between two prospects.
Iowa State backwater Breece Hall opened as the clear favorite to be the first RB off the board, while Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker always presented a distant challenge to make a claim to be the first RB selected.
Neither Hall nor Walker did anything at the NFL Combine to adjust the odds, as both posted nearly identical 40-yard dash times (Walker – 4.38, Hall – 4.39), with Hall having a better vertical jump and scored long jump.
