It’s been four years since Kingsman: Golden Circle kill all motivation for Kingsman franchise, but now we’re getting close to the release of another in the growing series: The King’s Man. The director’s prequel Matthew Vaughn, is slated to premiere on December 22 after numerous teasers, but with the film finally having its way to critics, the first reactions are starting to come in.
Essentially a prequel, The King’s Man will not see the return of Taron Egerton or Strait of Colin, but the film still boasts an impressive all-star cast, including Fiennes ralph as the Duke of Oxford, founder of the Kingsman Foundation, and Harris Dickinson, who is recruited into the organization. The film also has the participation of Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Daniel Brühl, Djimon Hounsou, Charles Dance, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Aaron Vodovoz, Todd Boyce, Branka Katic, Valerie Pachner, Olivier Richters, Stanley Tucci and more.
Vaughn returns to direct the third film in the franchise after writing and directing Kingsman: Secret Service and Kingsman: Golden Circle. Movie franchise based on graphic novel Secret Service are from Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons about a secret spy organization. The prequel aims to tell the organization’s origins and how it was born amid the horrors of World War I, weaving historical fiction with gory action and dark humor. .
