“I was in the waiting room in Bob Cavallo’s office, strumming my guitar, playing a new piece of music I wrote,” he explains. “Maurice White poked her head in and said, ‘What is that? “He suggested I ‘put it down’ and give it to him. I did, and over the next three months and he turned it into a ‘Sun Goddess’.”
Lind told the outlet that the song’s success kicked off his songwriting career and helped him sign a publishing deal with Charleville Music, with whom he collaborated for five years. He then moved on to Warner Bros. Music, where the iconic “Crazy For You” was born, turned then-unknown singer Madonna into a music star – And the rest is history.
