The ‘cheeky’ influencer tries to bag free food but fails massively as they ‘end up at the police station’.

INFLUENCERS are known for getting loads of freebies for a “call” on their massive online platforms.
But that tactic recently backfired for a blogger who tried to snag a free takeout but ended up at the police station instead.
Four legs – A pop-up restaurant at The Compton Arms pub in Islington is being praised for its extremely brutal response to the blogger asking for free food.
The unnamed influencer not only asked for a meal for herself in exchange for a plug on Instagram, but also four additional meals for her “bubble.”
The influencer contacted the restaurant via direct message and said they would post on their Instagram and even stop by for dinner once the venue reopened.
The restaurant initially seemed to comply with the request and agreed to offer the food for free.
But in a hilarious twist, the venue instead referred the influencer to the police station and told them to “report for crimes against the hospitality industry.”
Four Legs posted the entire exchange on its own Instagram page, revealing the “cheeky” attempt to its 18,000 followers.
The caption read: “I’ve been reading a lot about the peasant revolt lately. Inspirational stuff,” and included five screenshots detailing the entire conversation
The influencer wrote: “I am reaching out to you to ask if it would be possible to have some takeaway and in return I will be happy to promote you via my Instagram stories alongside a swipe up link if you have one Have a website that you can direct me followers to your website in the hope that this will lead to an order.”
Then they asked if they could order food for their bladder next to them – five meals in all.
Four Legs seemed ok with that, replying, “That’s quite a bit of food, if you could do a few posts then we can do that — you have a lot of followers.”
They instructed the anonymous blogger to drive over for five-thirty to pick it up, adding, “Thanks man, it’s really appreciated.”
Apparently lost, the influencer wrote back: “Walked past the NHS. I see 2 police cars. Past Sainsbury’s.”
And Four Legs replied, “Yeah, it’s the end, get up there, let me know when you see the police station.”
But once they got to their final destination, they no doubt realized their mistake when the restaurant fired back: “Magic — get in there and report crimes against hospitality.”
Needless to say, the post was very popular on the restaurant’s page as fans of the venue expressed their amusement.
One commenter joked, “Ironically, telling this egg where to go actually got you more exposure than ever feeding you a whole bunch of lame influencers for free!”
