The brilliant volunteers of THE Sun’s Jabs Army are about to be honored in an awards program to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The Duchess of Cornwall wants the Platinum Champions Awards to “recognize the truly special people whose generosity is making a real difference to our communities.”
As President of the Royal Voluntary Service charity, Camilla will select 70 winners in each of the seven categories.
the 140,000 Jabs Army Volunteers who have supported the introduction of the Covid vaccine can be nominated in the NHS and Social Care Support category.
Camilla added, “I hope many of you will share your stories about these local heroes and nominate them for a Platinum Champion Award.”
The 70 volunteers selected in each of the seven categories will receive a Platinum Champions pin and a signed certificate from The Duchess of Cornwall.
And 10 outstanding volunteers from each category will be invited to celebrate at a special edition of The Big anniversary Lunch on Sunday, June 5th
stars incl Oti MabusePhillip Schofield, Elaine Paige and Felicity Kendal are supporting the awards and the BBC’s One Show will showcase some of the heroic volunteers.
