The bizarre “thumb bug” is Warzone’s latest game-changing issue

Another new Warzone bug has surfaced in Pacific Season 2, this time the operators’ thumbs appear to be completely obscuring the players’ FOV. As expected, it ruins games and prevents players from using ADS.

Call of Duty: Warzone has been an undeniable success, with over 100 million players visiting Verdansk and Caldera since its release in March 2020.

But to say it was a flawless trip would be wrong. Aside from minor issues, a couple of issues have plagued Warzone’s success: cheating and glitches. While the former has been mitigated to some extent by RICOCHET Anti-Cheat, the latter seems only to get worse in Season 2.

We actually saw the developers apologize for the state of the game, saying that including three titles at once caused the game to be so “bloated” that they didn’t know what was causing the problems.

Warzone fans are once again furious with the playlist decision that removed the popular mode

Warzone has been dominated by bugs for a while.

Now players have been scratching their heads over another major bug, this time preventing ADS in some way and ruining the games as a result.

A Reddit post by ‘tmac416‘ drew attention to the issue and said, ‘Has anyone else gotten this ‘thumbs’ glitch? How do you make it go away?”

Attached was a video showing the gameplay that would occasionally get completely obscured when the player tried to activate ADS.

Every time they did that, the entire FOV was obscured by what appeared to be the operator’s thumb. Of course, it made aiming completely pointless and normal gameplay impossible to achieve.

The post quickly garnered a lot of attention on Reddit, topping 500 upvotes at the time of writing. A number of players reported similar issues in Season 2, but thankfully there seems to be a fairly simple fix.

According to those who have experienced the “thumb bug,” changing operators is a fairly reliable way to fix it.

Regardless, fans will want to see Raven address the underlying cause as soon as possible. The bizarre “thumb bug” is Warzone’s latest game-changing issue
