The married mother-of-two abused her position of trust and secretly sent him “intensely sexual” WhatsApp messages, Bournemouth Crown Court heard.

She encouraged the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to be “touchy” for the sake of her own sexual gratification.

And in one message, she told him, “I need you to be touchy all the time.”

Hesse then warned the boy to delete the messages quickly so his parents wouldn’t see them.

She said she felt “an odd combination of dizziness and stillness” and that she “couldn’t breathe” when he was with her.

The exchange of messages culminated in Hesse repeatedly telling the boy that she loved him.

When the victim told Hesse that he had a girlfriend and wanted the “relationship” with Hesse to end, she became jealous and urged him to continue it.

It stalled when the boy’s mother found the news and went to the police.

Hesse was found guilty after a trial of having engaged in sexual communication with a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification and was convicted at Bournemouth Crown Court.

Nicola Talbot-Hadley, prosecutor, said: “The victim testified that he had a crush on Ms. Hesse and the jury also rejected that version of events.

“Many messages were conveyed to the jury. It was extremely intense and emotionally draining.

“It often took place late at night and the defendant was at times under the influence of alcohol.

“The messages were sexualized and there were references to ‘touching and teasing’. She has told him repeatedly that she loves him.”

“Betrayal of Trust”

The court heard the victim eventually tell the dance teacher he had a girlfriend.

Hesse replied: “You’re 13 and don’t have the capacity for it yet. I want you to be able to love me exactly the way I need it.”

Ms Talbot-Hadley continued: “It was a breach of trust.

“It became his ‘new normal’ dealing with such intense and pressurized news. They made him stressed and embarrassed.

“It is clear that he did not want to go to dance school for fear of meeting Frau Hesse.”

Hesse gave the judge a letter saying she had “difficulty understanding boundaries.”

You bombarded him with messages and didn’t want to listen when he said, “Please stop.” He found it very difficult to deal with.

Judge Richard Onslow

In court, she told her victim’s family that she “constantly” crossed boundaries.

She said: “This feels unforgivable and breaks my heart. I’d like to go back in time and change what I’ve done.

“All I can do now is work on my mental health and make sure I never make the same mistake again.”

Audrey Archer mitigated that Hesse suffered from “unacknowledged depression and childhood trauma” and suffered from an unhappy marriage at the time of the crime.

Judge Richard Onslow chided Hesse for treating the 13-year-old boy as a “romantic figure” who had subjected her to “love outpourings.”

He said: “You treated him like a romantic figure even though you knew all along that he was 13.

“You bombarded him with messages and wouldn’t listen when he said, ‘Please stop.’ He found it very difficult to deal with.

“You have placed a heavy burden on him to meet what you perceive to be your needs. Some of these messages were for sexual gratification.”

Hesse was sentenced to 12 months in prison with a suspended sentence of 18 months.

Hesse received a restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order barring her from associating with boys under the age of 16 without their parents’ consent for five years.
