The attack began when a young man suddenly lunged at the victim and pulled him from his makeshift bed in the Moorfield multi-storey car park in Truro.

He and a topless friend aimed at the victim’s head before others gathered around and rain poured down on him.

A black Nike male runner stamped on the man as he tried to protect himself.

Moments later, another man hit him in the head with a glass bottle.

The victim made no attempt to fight back, even when one of the teenagers kicked him in the face.

The grieving video ends with the gang assaulting him before leaving.

VIDEO HORROR

The video has been widely shared on social media.

One man who posted the clip called it “the most horrible thing I’ve seen in a long time”.

One Facebook user, watching the video, said: “What’s wrong with everyone?

“It’s disgusting.”

One second said: “Poor defenseless man.

“I hope they get punished for this.”

Another said she felt nauseous after watching the clip.

‘It’s recently made me fat’

“I just watched the video and it was the worst thing I’ve ever seen. It almost made me sick,” she said.

Police said today six arrests were made following the “serious assault”, which took place between 10pm and 10:15pm on Saturday.

Detective Inspector Steve Moorcroft said: “We are aware of footage circulating on social media showing a horrific attack on a homeless man by a group of teenagers in Truro.

“Six teenagers are currently in police custody as they have been arrested in connection with this incident.

“Questions continue on the matter.

“I want to reassure the public that the matter is being worked on, but please don’t share footage of the attack for the sake of the victim.”

The victim was not in the parking lot yesterday afternoon, although his bed was still there. CornwallLive report.

However, the worried Truro resident tracked him down later that night and shared a photo showing him safe and well.

Two kind locals also paid him to stay on Airbnb for two weeks.

Anyone with information about the attack is urged to contact police on 101 citing incident 973 of 12 February.
