Teenage mom Chelsea Houska has been accused of ‘black fishing’ after fans think she looks ‘way too dark’ for cold South Dakota

CHELSEA Houska has again been accused of ‘black fishing’ in new photos.
The Teen Mom 2 graduate, 30, recently faced backlash from fans who said her normally pale complexion looked “way too dark” for cool South Dakota.

Chelsea has been shaded in recent posts due to the apparent tone of her skin.
And on Thursday she appeared very dark as she shared forward-facing videos from her car.
“So Cole and I are going out to eat with our whole team.”
“And it was just so much fun, so looking forward to having a nice little night with everyone,” she boasted on Instagram Stories as she filmed herself with her long brunette hair and tanned complexion.

A reviewer previously wrote on Reddit while posting full body photos over the weekend:
“Oh god, the stained self-tanner on her hand gave me flashbacks to middle school the first time I tried it.
“Definitely went to school with stained orange hands.”
Another added: “This is blackfishing and honestly most white influencers like Chelsea seem to be so addicted to tanning that I worry it’s body dysmorphia.”
Blackfishing refers to someone pretending to be black or mixed race using things like hairstyling and makeup.
Back in December, Chelsea posted a picture of herself with her daughters, and fans were quick to notice that she appeared to be significantly more tan than her children.
It was also 42 degrees Fahrenheit in South Dakota, where Chelsea lives, on Thursday.
“Rub Me Wrong”
Another Reddit user previously wrote, “It’s weird how people defend her for her makeup/skin color being way too dark.
A week later, she was compared to fellow MTV co-star Farrah Abraham because of her dark complexion.
Stars like Ariana Grande were also accused of this.
Meanwhile, she came under fire last week for having her daughter Aubree, 12, get a septum piercing.
Cole Deboer and Chelsea are also parents to son Watson, five, and daughter Walker June, one.
NEW RISKS
Chelsea is yet to deal with the allegations but as she previously exclaimed she is in the middle of preparing her new TV show.
The couple announced their departure from MTV in November 2020, but recently revealed they will be returning to the small screen soon.
The duo has filmed a brand new reality show on HGTV titled Farmhouse Fabulous, which will follow the couple as they help families renovate their homes.
The partners’ new project comes just months after they completed construction of their brand new farmhouse in South Dakota.
“After building our dream farmhouse in Sioux Falls a few years ago, we realized we had a real knack for design and renovations, and that has grown into our passion,” the busy father told the outlet.
“We can’t wait to take our fans on this next crazy journey of building our business from the ground up, with four kids in tow showing all the ups and downs on the job site and at home,” added Chelsea.
Earlier this month, the mother-of-four gave an update on the new series’ premiere date.

While hosting a Q&A session on Instagram, the TV personality replied to a curious fan, “Should be airing around Spring 2023,” with a smiling heart emoji.
The darker look also comes as Mackenzie Edwards was slammed for “copying” Chelsea’s hair and harshly compared to a “broom” by Reddit.
