‘Ted Lasso’ song tops Tunefind’s Top Movie/TV Syncs of 2021 – Billboard

Tunefind has revealed its top TV shows, movies, songs and artists for 2021 on-screen music sync.

Martin Solveig and Dragonette“Hello” – featured on Ted Lasso – came in at #1 on Tunefind’s year-end top songs list, while Grey’s Anatomy is the top show of the year, Bridgerton is the top new show, Free boy organize the top film awards, The Rolling Stones is the leading artist and Kris Bowers is the leading composer.

Music discovery site Tunefind’s year-end rankings are based solely on traffic and engagement on their site, helping fans identify songs they’ve heard in a TV show or movie. Tunefind’s year-end chart is separate from the monthly Top TV Songs chart, presented with Billboards. The Monthly Top TV Songs Chart ranks the songs that appear on top of TV shows each month, using a combination of metrics from Tunefind Data and the MRC.

“Hello” has received high profile synchronization in Apple Ted Lasso as part of the ninth episode of the second season. Originally released in 2010, the song has reached a new #2 on BillboardsDance/Electronics digital song sales chart for early October.

Ted Lasso herself, with musical supervision by Tony Von Pervieux and Christa Miller, appeared at number 5 on the chart of top television shows, led for the fifth year in a row by ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy (supervisor Kasey Truman). The second track also boasts a title on the top tracks list: Anson Seabra“Walked Through Hell”, at number 8, from the eighth episode of episode 17order Season.

The rest of the top 5 shows of the chart have not been mentioned yet: Lucifer (Justin Kamps) and Black list (John Bissell) at number 2 and 3 – their respective positions in 2020 – and Shameless (Ann Kline and Carly Van Skaik) in fourth place, up from eighth last year.

For top new shows, that distinction belongs to Bridgerton. Music overseen by Alexandra Patsavas took two entries in the top songs chart, led by JPOLND’s “The End” at No. 4.

The Rolling Stones declare the top artists as number 1 for 2021. The legendary rock band’s music has been heard in releases like Ted Lasso, Narcos: Mexico, 9-1-1: Lonely Star, American Gods, It’s always sunny in Philadelphia, Cruella, Billion and many more.

Top composer title goes to Kris Bowers, who conducted the score for Bridgerton, Raise Dion, Black Monday and more. Meanwhile, the top movie is free boy, there is music in the movie including songs by Mariah Carey, Reasonable and Frankie Valli, among others.
