Tdott Woo dies: Rising rapper shot to death after signing record contract, aged 22

Promising young rapper Tdott Woo was shot dead in New York on Tuesday (February 2) just hours after signing a record deal. He is 22 years old.

Million Dollar Music, the record label that represents Tdott Woo, posted a tribute to the musician on Instagram shortly after news of his death was announced.

Accompanied by photos of the rapper, the statement read: “It was an honor to be your friend until the very end. Your memories will always stay with us no matter where we go or what we do. Sleep peacefully.

“Just know his legacy will live on, from his laughter to the dance that all the people in the world do,” the caption continued. “Some of us know him as a friend, brother, cousin or just a fan but we have all come together to tell you FLY HIGH.”

In a statement to Everyone, The New York Police Department has confirmed that Tdott Woo (born Tahjay Dobson) was fatally shot in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn. Tdott suffered a head wound and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Police also said the suspect fled the scene in an SUV, but no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Authorities are currently investigating the motive.

Tdott is a friend of the rapper Smoke Pop, who was fatally shot in Los Angeles two years ago, and frequently appears in his music videos. Credited with inventing a dance move called the “Woo Walk,” Tdott is also a frequent collaborator of Fivio Five, appearing in the group’s 2019 video “Big Drip” and the dance instruction video “Bop” It” of their 2020.

The rapper’s grandmother, who declined to be named, told New York Daily News that Tdott was murdered outside their home.

“Looks like someone called him and he went out,” she said, adding, “I heard four shots, three shots to his back and one to his head, I think. . It’s boom, boom, boom, boom, very, very fast shots. ”
