Starfield & Redfall pushed back to 2023, but gameplay is coming “soon”

Microsoft and Bethesda’s massive RPG Starfield has been postponed along with Arkane’s Redfall, with both games targeting the first half of 2023.
Starfield, Bethesda Softworks’ first new IP in years, has been pushed back from its 2022 release date, along with Arkane Studios’ vampire-slaying shooter Redfall.
While Starfield was given a November 11, 2022 release date, Redfall held a more nebulous “Summer 2022” window before the announcement.

Redfall will now launch in 2023.
Starfield and Redfall are delayed
The news comes via a tweet from Bethesda’s official account.
“The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure you get the best, most polished versions of them,” the statement reads.
“We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm for Redfall and Starfield. This energy is a big part of what inspires all of us every day and drives our own enthusiasm for what we create.”
It’s not all bad news, however, as the statement also reads, “We can’t wait to share our first in-depth look at Redfall and Starfield gameplay soon,” suggesting we’ll likely hear more from the Microsoft and hear Bethesda gameplay showcase.
While we’ve seen a lot of Starfield in recent Dev Diary videos, we have yet to see the actual gameplay of the project outside of the in-engine demonstrations. Redfall, on the other hand, remains under wraps following its announcement at E3 2021.
