‘Sonic Frontiers’ Reminds People of ‘Breath Of The Wild’

When Sonic Frontiers has been revealed during The Game Awards, it surprised everyone, but not because a new game was announced. Everyone was surprised because the game being shown was an open world game. Sonic in an open world? How will it work?

While we’re obviously excited to find out and see how things turn out, the trailer also makes people immediately think of another very popular open world game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Although it’s not fair to call every open world game NOT YET clone, it’s hard not to see similarities with this one. They even used one of the same camera shots.

Since there are some obvious similarities between this new Sonic game and NOT YET, jokes were immediately made about the possibility that Sonic had just copied it.

There is a downside when comparing Sonic with NOT YET though and that is we can be a bit lazy with our comparison. Huge open world? Lots of grass everywhere A character standing on a cliff? Obviously, that means any game with grass is NOT YET clonal line.

That said, anyone who has played NOT YET maybe know the real reason this won’t be a problem NOT YET clonal line. The story surrounding BOTW is perhaps a bit sad for a Sonic game.

We like our Sonic game positive and fun, thank you. So let’s hope that NOT YET comparison is only in style, not in plot.
