Soccer player Kurt Zouma warms up his pet cat

PREMIER League star Kurt Zouma, who was videotaped loosely kicking his cat, is an ambassador for a charity that works with abused big cats.

The Sun Tonight reveals shocking scene shows the West Ham defender attacking his pet by throwing a shoe at it and then slapping the petrified person in his £2million mansion.

France International chase the cat around his dining room in front of a child as the cameraman laughs.

He threw a pair of designer shoes at the animal, which frantically tried to escape.

In one final clip, he is seen slapping the pet in the face – and out of the child’s arms.

Ironically, Zouma is an ambassador for French charity Seed, which has raised money for an animal shelter for big cats, The Sun can reveal.

The charity, which Zouma proudly promotes in her Instagram bio, raised £20,000 to renovate the tiger cage at Refuge De L’Arche in France last year.

They raise big cats like tigers and lions that were captured from abusive owners and would not have survived in the wild.

But now hideous animal rights charities have stabbed to death the Premier League chief – who could now face a criminal investigation.

The Sun understands that the RSPCA has received at least one complaint about the video, which could give the charity time to prosecute.

Last night Zouma issued an unfortunate apology for the attack and insisted it was an isolated incident.

“I want to apologize for my actions,” he said.

“There are no excuses for my behavior, which I truly regret.

“I also want to deeply apologize to anyone who was upset by the video. I want to assure everyone that our two cats are perfectly fine and healthy.

“They are loved and cherished by our entire family, and this behavior is an isolated incident that will not happen again.”

The £30million player was reportedly furious when the Bengal – an expensive domesticated cat breed that looked like a small leopard – had disturbed his house.

A source said: ‘It looks like Kurt got mad at the cat for accidentally breaking some kind of vase and spilling a light from the kitchen cupboard.

“But what he did next was completely unacceptable.

“Kurt kicked it, threw shoes at it and then slapped it. The poor cat looks so scared.”

The disturbing video was filmed by Zouma’s brother Yoan and posted to Snapchat on Sunday afternoon – a day after the midfielder appeared for West Ham in the FA Cup.

An RSPCA spokesman said: “This is a very offensive video. It is never acceptable to kick, hit or slap an animal, as punishment or otherwise”.

The Sun has reached out to the Seed Charity for comment.
