Snapchat has reported DOWN to hundreds of people worldwide – with users launching the photo-sharing app

SNAPCHAT was down for hundreds of users in a mysterious outage, according to reports.

Technical issues mean that the user is signed out and cannot access the features.

According to the online crash tracker DownDetector, the problem started happening around 7:17 GMT.

Some users are also having trouble logging in or being logged out.

One said: “I randomly get kicked out of my account with no warning or anything if I do something.

“How do I get my account back?”

One said: “Unhappy, I am trying to contact support, my account was illegally banned with no warning or nothing/

“I’m not given a reason for the ban, this is a problem.”

Another said: “My account is really locked and I can’t unlock it. I really didn’t do anything.”

There is still no word on what caused the crash.

Snapchat has yet to comment on the matter.

Users also faced issues last Tuesday.

Technical problems then meant that users could not log in to the app or access core features.

Technical problems occurred after the app crashed in june causes the app to crash when opening.

After a similar outage hit Facebook, one analyst said that users of the major social networking sites can expect online services to go down with increasing frequency.

Jake More, an expert at cybersecurity firm ESET, said: “Mass infrastructure struggles to simulate changes at scale, seemingly able to wipe them offline for hours with hours. incredible financial impact.”

“Not likely to be a cyber attack, although that is never completely off-limits, this type of problem is increasing in number and size due to the sheer size of some this site and urgently needs to be addressed with better safeguards.”
