Smith College Bomb Threat – Shelter in effect for Northampton, Massachusetts campus with police on scene

Reports said a SHELTER order was being made after a “bomb threat” was reported at a university in Massachusetts.

Officials at the Smith College campus in Northampton tweeted the warning early Friday morning.

People are being advised to avoid two buildings on campus

The warning said: “Campus Safety received a bomb threat against Burton Hall. Please avoid Burton Hall and Sabin-Reed Hall until further notice”.

Police are at the scene and a shelter is in effect.

No further information was provided as investigations continued.
