Skinner hopes to thwart former guard Hampton in Manchester United’s showdown with Aston Villa

MARC SKINNER admits there will be no love on the pitch for Hannah Hampton when his side take on Aston Villa.
The Manchester United manager gave goalkeeper Hampton, 21, his debut in his three-year stint as manager of Birmingham in 2017.
And the Birmingham-born goalkeeper, 21, has gone from strength to strength, being called up to the England squad for the first time in February.
Skinner, 38, said: ‘One of the things I’ve always wanted Hannah to do is make big saves.
“She’s doing it and she’s getting more and more confident.
“She’s a very good young goalkeeper but there’s no going to be love on the pitch regardless of whether I give Hannah her debut or not.”
Villa was heavily influenced by the midfield trio of Ramona Petzelberger, Remi Allen and Sarah Mayling.
And boss Carla Ward, 37, thinks this is the worst time her side has faced Flower.
“The two clubs and teams are miles apart,” she said. It’s easy to say, ‘Let’s go and get three points’ but we’re talking about a top four team. “
Meanwhile, Jean-Luc Vasseur is confident Everton be able to close the gap with their top three opponents in the battle for Champions League place.
The Toffees traveled to Tottenham and owner Vasseur, 52, said: “Anything can happen this year.
If we can maintain the gap with the top teams, as we improve and play with more confidence, we will have a plan to close the gap.”
And Sophie Barker calculates Leicester’s The clash with fellow Birmingham defenders will not be the most important game of their season.
Both clubs are inconclusive but defender Barker, 30, said: “We don’t want to rule out our season by just this one game.
“We didn’t want to make it a big deal when everyone was pouring in on this and we weren’t getting the results we wanted.”
