She-Hulk Episode 6 adds Mr. Immortal to the MCU

She Hulk Episode 6 debuted today on Disney Plus, and with it came the introduction of Mr. Immortal to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the series offers a very different take on the character in the MCU, and he’s no longer the long-haired leader of the Great Lakes Avengers that comic book fans might be familiar with.

Craig Hollis aka Mr. Immortal (played by The Book of Boba Fett actor David Pasquesi) makes his debut at the offices of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway, explaining to attorneys Nikki and Amelia that he is involved in a lawsuit as a result of his superpowers.

As his name suggests, Mr. Immortal cannot die – or at least he dies for a few seconds before coming back to life. It turns out he uses this superpower to avoid conflict with his many, many spouses and fakes his own death to avoid the conflict that would come with leaving the two. Mr. Immortal shows Nikki and Amelia these powers by jumping out the window when their conversation gets too intense for him.

While Mr. Immortal in She-Hulk doesn’t look much like his muscular, costume-wearing comic book counterpart, he boasts a similarly goofy personality, albeit without the superhero antics. In the comics, Mr. Immortal forms the Great Lakes Avengers along with the likes of Big Bertha, Doorman, and Flatman, and fights crime as the less-than-successful version of the crew of Iron Man and Captain America. In She-Hulk, Mr. Immortal is shown simply using his powers to avoid conflict and get married a lot of from people.
