SEATTLE (AP) – After the final kneeling, the few remaining snowballs thrown from the stands were no longer directed only at officials or opponents. There were at least some being thrown toward the home line and tunnel when the Seattle Seahawks left the field. A lost season for the Seahawks hit new lows, taking a 10-point fourth-quarter lead in a 25-24 loss to the Chicago Bears that knocked Seattle out of the NFC playoffs. Seattle will finish last in the NFC West for the first time since switching to NFC in 2002. The last time the Seahawks finished last in their league was the AFC West in 1996.
