Macy’s announced in early 2020 it would close 125 stores and cut 2,000 jobs as the company tries to stabilize profits and allow for future growth.
Macy’s Inc.’s director of external communications, Jacqueline King, told ABC13, “Regular, non-seasonal colleagues that we cannot accommodate at a nearby Macy’s store will be eligible for severance. , including alternative resources.”
According to King, the closure is part of the company’s strategy, which was announced in early 2020.
The clearance sale will begin in January and run through the end of February. The end date has yet to be announced.
Shopping at Macy’s and San Jacinto Furniture Cleaner will be available online and at Macy’s Almeda Mall.
