Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe hinted at ‘Turmoil’ for Jamie and Claire – and it’s coming in the Season 6 finale

At the end of the penultimate episode, guards arrive at Fraser’s Ridge to arrest Claire. But it’s clear that she and Jamie won’t go down without a fight.

“There will be a revolution with them too and I think that will happen throughout the season. You have a basis. When that foundation is shaken and there is a revolution, you have to deal with it. That’s kind of the theme of the season,” Roberts said ell Magazine.

At the same time that Roberts was discussing revolution, Heughan and Balfe hinted at impending turmoil for Jamie and Claire. That stranger Stars promised a “very exciting season” – and they definitely delivered. The co-leads also hinted that “turbulence” is ahead.

Season 6 of the Starz time travel drama deviates a little from Diana Gabaldon’s sixth book A touch of snow and ash. After suffering a brutal attack at the hands of Lionel Brown (Ned Dennehy) and his men in the Season 5 finale, Claire has fought silently, turning to the airwaves to help her cope.
But using Aether made her wonder if she had killed Malva ChristieJessica Reynolds. And at the end of the seventh episode of the sixth season, she was accused of the crime.
Turbulence ensues in the season 6 finale of Outlander
In the preview for the stranger Season 6 finale – after the guards arrive to make an arrest – it looks like Jamie and Claire are refusing to let them take them. Which leads to a shootout between guards and the Frasers.
In the clip, a guard says to Jamie, “I didn’t expect you to just give up on her, but you will soon enough.” To which Jamie replies, “I ken what you are doing.”

The episode preview also reveals that the Fraser’s Ridge community has turned against them completely, believing that Jamie was the father of Malva’s baby and that Claire was the one who killed her. A man is heard screaming, “Justice for the murdered girl!”
The clip ends with a hint of serious danger as Jamie tells Claire, “We must go together, I see no other way.”
