SAINSBURY’S has unveiled a three-course Valentine’s Day deal worth £15, which includes Gu steak and cheesecake.
Couples can treat themselves to appetizers, main courses, desserts and drinks as part of the supermarket’s romantic specials.
Appetizers include a selection of Taste the Difference Antipasto, scallop gratin and Scottish mussels in white wine.
For the main course, shoppers can choose from seven options including sirloin or steak with a heart-shaped avocado, Scottish Salmon en Croute and slow-cooked Coq au Vin.
There are a variety of dishes available such as cooked fries, mashed truffles, and french fries dauphinoise.
Finish with Gu salted caramel cheesecake or melted chocolate pudding.
Sainsbury’s are offering several alcoholic beverage options to accompany your romantic meal, including a bottle of Malbec or a rosé.
You can opt for light with Fentimans ginger beer or green elderberry and raspberry.
The range will be available in store from 9 February until 1 March – you can find your nearest Sainsbury branch here.
We’ve compared your current meal prices to see if you’ll save.
You can currently buy antipasto for £3.25, two beef steaks with garlic butter for £3.50 and two Gu cheesecakes for £2 on Sainsbury’s website.
With a bottle of Malbec, currently £7.50, the total meal will set you back £16.25 – a saving of £1.25.
We’ve asked what happens if your total meal is under £15 and we’ll update this as more details become available.
Last year Sainsbury’s ran an offer of £20 or less, available from February 10 to February 14.
Asda has stocked up on gifts for loving couples ahead of Valentine’s Day, with 1 engagement ring hit stores earlier this week.
Poundland is also selling a £1 engagement ring as it did in previous years.
It first launched the Bling Ring range in 2019 and it sparked a debate on social media.
