A Russian soldier had his genitals and legs amputated after a protracted attack by his OWN sergeant.
Andrey Sergeyevich Sychyov and eight other soldiers were subjected to excruciating beatings in 2005, which lasted more than three hours.
The squadron’s seniors lashed out after claiming the men hadn’t cleaned up properly after a New Year’s Eve party.
The traumatized Andrey was cruelly made to squat with his hands tied behind his back by Junior Sergeant Alexander Sivyakov.
The then 19-year-old and other senior soldiers subjected the troops to brutal beatings for three and a half hours.
Andrey suffered excruciating pain for four days from his horrendous injuries and was only able to receive medical attention on January 4th.
Horrified doctors discovered that he had suffered numerous broken bones, severe genital trauma and gangrene on his legs after the brutal attack.
The delay in finding much-needed medical attention left them no choice but to amputate both his legs, his genitals and one of his fingers to save the soldier’s life.
After his brutal ordeal, Andrey’s mother Galina Sychyov claims she was offered bribes to keep the family from taking legal action.
She said she was encouraged to take $100,000 (£76,000) in hush money, as well as a property, in exchange for her silence.
But the ailing Sergeant Sivyakov, who ordered the heinous punishment, was eventually brought to justice over the incident and five other counts of abuse.
But despite Andrey’s life-changing injuries, he was sentenced to just four years in prison and stripped of his rank.
The sadistic story had resurfaced in the midst of the war in Ukraine and repeated reports about it merciless brutality by Russian troops.
Putin’s men are said to have set up torture chambers where they slaughtered civilians execution-style while raping and murdering women and children in Bucha.
The troops saw frightening pictures from the front branded as “worse than ISIS”. and accused of genocide.
Bodies lie scattered in the street, some with their hands tied, others with signs of torture.
The harrowing claims have stunned the world and led many to question the limits of Russian barbarism.
Reddit users were horrified by Andrey’s tortuous story, hinting that his account may reflect current events on the ground in Ukraine.
One user wrote: “I feel like surrendering to the Russians is a bad idea. I have to fight these people to the death.”
Another wrote: “At the end of World War II, members of our family were keen not to be captured by the Russians and were fortunately captured by the Americans and British.
“There was a very good reason for that. Russia has made surrender a more terrible thing than death.
“That’s why they’re still fighting in Mariupol. That’s why they will have to fight for every square inch of Ukraine.”
