(Reuters) – Russia’s communications regulator Roskomnadzor said on Friday it had demanded that Alphabet Inc.’s Google stop disseminating what it describes as threats against Russian citizens on its video sharing platform YouTube.
Roskomnadzor said that ads on the platform threaten the lives and health of Russian citizens and that their dissemination is evidence of the US tech giant’s anti-Russian stance.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
