Good morning Chelsea fans
According to reports from Italy, Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is paving the way for a move for Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri this summer.
The 27-year-old Italian defender is on loan at French giants Lyon and has been linked with a move from the Blues.
According to a report by Citta Celeste, former Chelsea boss Sarri has already ‘phoned’ him about the possibility of a move to Serie A.
Chelsea’s embattled and outgoing owner Roman Abramovich suffered suspected poisoning along with Ukrainian peace negotiators earlier this month, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Russian oligarch and two officials are said to have developed symptoms including red eyes, painful tearing and skin peeling while acting as peacemakers at a meeting in Kyiv. You have now recovered.
Abramovich sells the Blues due to the pressure he is put on by the British government following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
And there was an update on the sale as the four parties fighting to buy the club revealed they will find out next month which of them has the backing of Raine Group.
The bank overseeing the sale has told bidders it intends to submit its preferred Government and Premier League bid in the week of April 18.
Applicants were told over the weekend they have until April 11 to refine their final bids.
And Christian Pulisic says his ‘worm’ celebration – after scoring in USA’s 5-1 win over Panama – was for a young cancer-stricken fan.
The Chelsea winger revealed it was dedicated to 15-year-old Mason Ogle, who has osteosarcoma and was the US matchday ambassador for the game.
Pulisic said: “I met someone very special yesterday. His name was Mason and his only request was that if I score, he would like to see a worm celebration. That’s what it was meant for.”
