Roger E. Mosley, an actor who starred in the legendary 1980s crime thriller Magnum, PI, died Sunday as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident the previous week, his daughter said. He was 83.
Mosley, who played helicopter pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin in the hit series, died surrounded by his family. He has been paralyzed from the shoulders down since the accident and is in critical condition, his daughter Ch-a Mosley wrote on Facebook.
“We could never mourn the loss of such an amazing man. He would HATE any crying on his behalf. It’s time to celebrate the legacy he left for all of us,” his daughter wrote.
Fellow actor Richard Brooks paid tribute to Mosley on Sunday.
“We lost another great actor and another legend today.” Brooks wrote on Twitter.
“I so enjoyed working with Roger. He really came through for me when I was producing my first track. He was the best. Condolences to the Mosley family
Mosley starred alongside Tom Selleck on the show for eight seasons from 1980 to 1988.
