Rochelle’s new valet, Elijah Santiago, stabs two co-workers

A valet attendant at a Westchester County country club allegedly stabbed two other valet attendants while the club was hosting a wedding, police and reports said.
Elijah Santiago, 25, was reportedly charged with stabbing to death two brothers he worked with at the VIP Country Club in New Rochelle on Wednesday.
One victim was in critical condition after being stabbed in the abdomen, while the other victim was slashed up the back, the New Rochelle Police Department said in a news release.
According to local news site Talk of the Sound, Santiago used a jackknife and severed an artery in the man who had been stabbed in the abdomen. He is said to have attacked the first victim, whose brother ran to intervene when he saw the violence unfold, according to the website.
The brother with the wound on his back told police he pinned his brother to the ground after “trying to keep his intestines from coming out,” the website said.

The attacker allegedly tried to flee in a vehicle down a road along Long Island Sound that ended in a cul-de-sac where he was arrested, sources said.
Santiago was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police officers said.
