Road rage shooting: Person with gun in car, granted shelter in place

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (KDVR) – Multiple agencies are responding to a person with a gun in a vehicle after a rampage on the road led to a shooting.
The Adam County Sheriff’s Office said the incident allegedly stemmed from a road rage with people fighting on the street. ACSO said one person pulled out a gun and then barricaded himself in the vehicle.
Delegate tweeted that they are supporting the Commercial City Police Department in an “active shooter” situation between E. 74th Avenue and E. 76th Avenue on Brighton Road. Traffic was shut down and a shelter was issued to people in the area.
CCPD Chief Nichols tweeted SWAT is conducting a “participated officer shooting” involving barricaded suspects.
ASCO said no officer or deputy was injured by the gun.
