Riverdale: Cole Sprouse says cast is ready to ‘finish’ show


Cole Sprouse gave that away the most Riverdale The cast is ready for the end of the show.

The former Disney star has portrayed Jughead on the hit CW drama – based on the Archie comics – since the pilot in 2017.

In a recent interview, Sprouse said the show is currently in the middle of its sixth season, but most actors are ready to “close it off with a bow.”

“I’m not a creative force behind it [Riverdale]. I don’t really have creative control,” the actor explained GQ.

“We show up, get the scripts often on the day of, and are asked to shoot.”

He added that at one point he politely declined an offer to direct an episode because he knew he had to subordinate his creative vision to the needs of the network.

earlier, before Riverdale’s 100th episode in December, Sprouse announced Weekly entertainmentthat the show offered him and the cast a “huge opportunity.”

He said at the time, “I think I’m very fortunate that people took part in the show and it’s created an absolutely outstanding platform for all the young actors on the show.”

“It was a wild ride,” he added. “And I hope that the audience can sit down and say ‘Wow.’ 100 episodes. This is insane’ and I appreciate the amount of work that went into it.”

However, the future of the show has yet to be announced decision maker, Sprouse’s co-star Lili Reinhart shared an Instagram Live and speculated that season seven would be “probably the last.”

Riverdale returns from the Season 6 hiatus on March 20 at 8:00 p.m. EDT on the CW. All previous seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
