Quordle Answer 172: July 15, 2022 Word Solution

That Quordles 172 answer is now resolved for July 15, 2022. Apparently today’s puzzle forgot yesterday’s easy solution and increased the difficulty by one level. This time we needed all nine rows to understand every word. Part of the challenge comes from the lack of synergy between the four words, meaning very few letters are repeated throughout the puzzle. Solving one word doesn’t give you much information about the others. On the other side there is only one double letter.

It’s hard to decide which word is the most difficult to solve, but the word in the lower right corner has two unusual consonants. To give a hint, it’s usually used as a verb when asking a person to change their position a little. If you are looking for the complete solution, you can check it after the break.

What is Quordle Answer 172? (July 15, 2022)

Quordle Answer 172

The Quordle Answer 172 is:

  • “NYLON”
  • “SHELF”
  • “VIRAL”
  • “BUDE”

“BUDGE” has the unusual “B” and “G” consonants and can lead to the “?UDGE” construction, which has multiple solutions: “B”, “F”, “J”, “M”, “N”. ‘, and P.” For this reason, we decided to enter the word “BLIMP” to reduce the number of possibilities, and luckily got the “B” out first, in addition to omitting the “B”, ” M” and “P” from the blackboard The other difficult word would be “NYLON” mainly because the “N” is repeated and placed both front and back.

Also “SHELF” and “VIRAL” are no weaklings. The consonants “H”, “F” and “V” can be difficult to decipher when you’re running low on guesswork. That’s what happened to us on our additional “BLIMP” attempt, since none of the consonants in that word helped us with those two.
